Fruit Pig was founded in 2008 by Matthew Cockin and Grant Harper - two Norfolk-based food obsessives with a shared passion for doing things properly. Starting out as a rare breed butchery, they soon discovered just how vanishingly rare a true fresh blood black pudding had become in the UK, and set about putting that right. Today, they are the only remaining scaled producer of craft fresh blood black puddings in the country, making them with 97% British ingredients and genuine old-school technique.
Their range spans fresh blood black puddings (including a gluten-free option), white and hogs puddings, haggis, a hearty brunch slice and a superb selection of cold-smoked bacon and cured meats.
